Set within the northern Dutch landscape, this family holiday home was reimagined through a full interior renovation focused on ease, materiality and warmth. The design approach sought to preserve the home’s rustic character while introducing contemporary and refined interior elements.

Rooted in the landscape beyond, a palette of earthy tones, natural stone, dark timber, linen and tactile materials creates a calm and grounded environment. Existing brick walls and exposed timber beams form central elements, establishing a dialogue between traditional details and carefully considered design interventions.

Alongside the renovation, an energy-conscious approach was integrated through sustainable systems and future-oriented solutions, resulting in a family residence that feels both timeless and considered.
